Legos Anybody Will Love

Its been A LONG time since my last post.  What can I say, the holidays, raising a two year old and being pregnant with my second is taking up a lot of my “free” time.  I’ve started my second trimester and things seem to be settling down a bit so here I am!!

My nephew is a HUGE lego fan!  When I got a request from a friend for some Lego cookies I jumped on it!  What a fun party idea that I’m certain will be on Aubrey’s party wish list soon.  These cookies were so fun to make and really brought the Lego theme to life.  Best of all, these Legos are for everyone, not just 6 year old boys!!

My nephew is going to be visiting us in April and I’m going to have to have some of these cookies on hand for him for sure!

Experimenting with Chocolate

So I’m a self-proclaimed chocoholic.  I will take it in any form, flavor or dosage, as long as I can get my fix DAILY!  (This is part of the reason why after almost 2.5 years I’m still struggling to lose the baby weight.)  So it seemed only natural for me to branch out and try to find the perfect chocolate cookie recipe.  Well I think I may have found one that is close enough to perfection.

I’m not a big coffee fan and the recipe that I’ve chosen does use espresso powder in it.  Its supposed to bring out the flavor of the chocolate….I dunno if that’s true because I just taste the coffee, but whatever.  I think next time I make a batch I’ll use less to reduce the coffee taste just a bit.

I’d say the first experiment was a success.  Now I’m off to find the perfect Gingerbread Cookie recipe in time for the holidays!  Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!!

We’re Blogging!!

I am very excited to launch the new Corinne’s Creations website!!  The last few month’s I’ve switched my focus from jewelry making to cookie making.  I’m LOVING the change of pace and the challenges that I’m facing with each new order.  While I will still keep making jewelry as needed, my true passion lies in the kitchen.

This new site will allow me to blog about all my creations and will give those who are not on facebook (I know there are some of you out there) the ability to see what I’ve done and to leave your comments.

Bare with me as I figure out how all this fancy WordPress stuff works, but I think its going to be fun.  I’ve already added a Gallery page full of pictures of past orders and there are plenty more pictures to come!!
